The Megastar of Tollywood is going to be back with a bang. And he is reportedly bring paid a whopping amount for his comeback. Chiranjeevi has been signed on by Chennai-based Lyca Productions for the Telugu remake of the hit film Kaththi.
Kaththi was directed by AR Murugadoss and starred Vijay in the lead role. It is being remade in Telugu with Chiranjeevi as the lead and is to be directed by VV Vinayak. The Tollywood star will be paid Rs 30 crore apparently for this film.
Lyca Productions incidentally is also producing the Shankar film starring Rajinikanth. The Superstar is the highest paid actor in the south and Chiranjeevi is now the second highest paid actor, say trade sources.
The Telugu remake will go on the floors in February 2016 and is likely to release at the end of the year. The Hindi remake of the film is titled 'Ikka' and stars Akshay Kumar.
